The Board is responsible: - for directing and protecting the organization in the 'owners' interests
- to provide direction (strategic plan) to the organization
- to be the link between the organization and the 'owners'
- to make decisions in the best interests of the ownership as a whole
- to contribute to the positive image of the organization by the 'owners' and by the public
- to advocate the interests of the 'owners' amongst industry partners
